Submit new URLs

We just released a new Feature. If you cannot find the library you are looking for, you can submit an URL to VersionEye. We will integrate the resource into our crawler framework and notify you as soon it will be ready to follow at VersionEye. Submitted GitHub URLs will be integrated within less than 24 hours. The “Submit New URL” button is always located on the left side of the page.

License Crawler

Last week we launched the license feature for projects. It basically shows you all licenses you are using in your projects. Unfortunately, for most libraries we didn’t have any license information. That’s why we developed a crawler which is recognizing License information in GitHub Repositories. Since last week we have been able to add license information to more than 10K software libraries!

Release Time

VersionEye now shows you the average release time of projects AND how many days have passed since this particular version was released. This is possible for Ruby, Python and PHP projects.  For other projects, we show you how many days have passed since our crawlers detected the version.
