We just improved the proxy settings in VersionEye again. If you spin up your one instance of VersionEye, you have to activate your instance with an API key. That step can already fail if you are behind a Proxy. Now in the newest version you can enter proxy setting already on the activation page.
If your instance is activate and you are logged in as admin you can change the proxy settings in the settings area.
