VersionEye Enterprise just become a little bit better! Now it has a very simple user management. If you are logged in as admin you will see a new menu “users” in the settings area.
Here are ALL users listed on a paged list. As an admin you can give any other user admin rights.
On VersionEye Enterprise the license whitelist can be managed by an admin only! That makes sense for big companies because thats who they ensure a company wide license policy! With the new User Management the admin can delegate this right to any other user without giving them admin rights!
And of course it is possible to delete users! That makes sense if an employee left the company. But be careful with that!
Until now the “Re Parse Now” & “Delete this project” button on projects only showed up for the project owner.
Now these buttons also show up for admin users. An admin can trigger a “re parse” for any project and the admin can delete any project!
This changes are not final. The User Management is currently very simple. It works well for a small user base. Search functions and filters are coming soon.
